Video Counselling
Connect With A Trained Professional TodayWHAT IS VIDEO COUNSELLING
Video Counselling or Online Counselling or Video Therapy services are geared towards connecting people with mental health professionals such as clinical psychologists, counsellors, social workers and psychotherapists through a secure video or audio call. By phone/video call, individuals could speak to a therapist/ counsellor/ psychologist much as they would in a face-to-face therapy session, but with out travelling to a mutual location.
As with face-to-face therapy, online therapy/ online counselling, individuals would be able to receive counselling support and address their concerns accordingly. From the first session, specialists would be able to recommend a plan of action for the individual, with the aim of improving mental health and wellbeing. Sessions can be scheduled weekly, fortnightly or monthly based on individual requirements.
How We Can Help You
Improve Your Self Awareness and Personal Growth
How Online Therapy Benefits Me
As opposed to traditional therapy, online therapy can be carried out from the comfort of one’s own home, meaning less hassle travelling to and from therapy sessions – something which may be of huge importance to those suffering from disorders which make leaving the house difficult or stressful; such as anxiety, or PTSD.
Online therapy blends the best practices of face-to-face counselling with some unique advantages, such as working from the comfort of your own home, conference room at your office, or a quiet confidential space practically anywhere.

Frequently Asked Questions
Video Counselling FAQs
What is Video Counselling?
Online video counselling is a comfortable and convenient way to receive effective counselling without experiencing the pressure of a face-to-face meeting. You still meet with a live, professional provider but you gain the flexibility of meeting with your provider in your own surroundings. Scheduled sessions take place via a secure Internet connection.
Who is eligible?
Private Clients and EAP Clients can leverage video counselling services through Dolly and Associates Ltd.
Are video counselling visits different from in-person visits?
No. Video counseling offers the same services as in-person counselling, such as evaluation, therapy, medication management, and so forth. Additionally, video counselling visits use the same standards of care as in-person visits.
Is Video Counselling Secure?
Yes! Dolly and Associates Ltd is very sensitive to your on-line safety and security. We use video conferencing software that is HIPAA compliant. This means that the software we use is highly encrypted and ensures unauthorized third parties cannot record, listen to or take part in any online session and that each client information remains confidential. It is safer and more secure than more commonly used video conferencing programs like Skype and FaceTime.
What equipment or technology do you need?
All you need to have is a laptop, tablet, or smartphone and a reliable internet connection. For the best audio quality it is recommended to use a headset with a microphone or at least headphones to ensure that the session call quality is kept at a maximum. The video quality of your session is determined by the quality of your webcam and the speed of your internet connection. By using standard web browsers such as Google Chrome, Safari, or Firefox on your laptop, tablet or smartphone, the full functionality of our online counselling service is available to you on all device types.
Is there a fee for EAP Clients?
No. As with face-to-face sessions, there are no member fees for video counselling. The EAP (which includes virtual visits) is a prepaid benefit from your employer. All private clients will incur fees as in-person visits. Please contact us by phone or email at [email protected]
What do I do if I do not like the video counselling experience?
It is unlikely that you won’t get anything out of online therapy. However, if you feel that video counselling is not right for you, then you can discuss other options with your counsellor.
How do you schedule an appointment?
You can schedule a virtual counselling appointment via phone, online or email. Our office will send you a meeting invitation that includes a link to download the software and start the therapeutic process. Please create a safe and private space with good lighting to “meet” with your counsellor online.
Note: Like in-person visits, video counseling visits require advance scheduling. Please call our office for emergency service.
